This Charity just celebrated its second year anniversary this past November, and has been active in the community for our veterans. The James N. Stephan charity was established specifically to serve disabled Veterans. The Charity was founded in honor of James N. Stephan, a decorated navy veteran, whose surviving family lives in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Through our Gap Program, we support our veterans through food assistance, financial counseling, and wrap-around social services, all with the goal to provide veterans the tools they need to achieve self-sufficiency.

The Charity participated in a variety of successful events this year, which resulted in bring food and bill assistance to several of our needy Veterans this year. this program also produces and sells handcrafted wooden items, jewelry, and other holiday items during the winter season, in order to raise monies to continue to support our Veterans.

We currently have approximately 10 - 15 volunteers and almost 40 doners and partners. Additionally this year, we are grateful to partner with the Student Run Emergency Housing Unit of Philadelphia (SREHUP), a Philadelphia based shelter for homeless men. We were able to suply a large meal, and donated items for ongoing needs to the shelter on Christmas Eve. All of the volunteers enjoyed having Christmas dinner with our volunteers. We are blessed to have a generous community supporting our unselfish and brave heroes!

We look forward in 2018, to continue to advocate for our veterans, and give back to those who sacrificed so much for our community. For additional information concerning our programs, whether it be to volunteer, donate or enroll for assistance, contact the link above.
