Shamrock Reins is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization providing equine therapy for veterans, active/reserve service members, first responders and their families and families of fallen heroes. Interacting with horses results in a relaxed, calming atmosphere which provides emotional support in therapy and helps visitors deal with the trauma they have endured. All services are funded through charitable contributions.

In 2014, Chalfont VFW Post 3258 was invited to visit a new therapeutic horse facility with the intention of helping veterans, first responders and families of our fallen heroes. Once we saw the true desire to help others there was no turning back with showing the Post’s willingness to assist in any way possible.

First, we started out with monetary donations. Then, our Post stepped up by volunteering our time and talents towards accomplishing numerous projects needed to bring the facility closer to the visions of the founder, Janet Brennan. Buying this beautiful 23 acre property, in rural Bucks County, was Janet's dream of giving back to these heroes and their families at no cost to them. Now, those whose who proudly served our country can enjoy these equine beauties while continuing on their healing journey.
