For nearly two decades, Chalfont VFW Post 3258 has been honored to care for the American Flag replacements at 9 local cemeteries.

Every year around Memorial Day, we begin at St John Neuman’s Cemetery on County Line Road to replace torn or missing grave flags and markers. With the help of the local Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, we replace close to 4,000 American flags at cemeteries around Chalfont. Old tattered flags are removed, military markers are replaced or straightened, and new American flags are installed in the markers. Tattered flags are rounded up for storage at our Post member’s homes for later retirement at a formal ceremony in October. Once our flag replacement mission is completed, those hallowed grounds become a sea of red, white, and blue in honor of the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives for our county. May God bless our military men, woman, and families.

We give our shadow salute in their honor.
